Sick Again?! Ugh. Lucky Me I've been struck with the 3rd cold/illness in two months. Normally I would not be that upset but I have never gotten sick this frequently. Not even while in college when I lived in the test tube of winter colds, stomach viruses and the flu. My boyfriend thinks i'm sickly. I'm really not. I guess I'm just lucky.
I'm tearing through tissues, cough drops and various home remedies for colds. I wish I was a chemist/biologist capable of creating a cure for the common cold. I'd make so much money. I know you can't cure viruses but in the age of the internet and ipods we can't cure the common cold?
The issue I have with these things isn't so much that it knocks you out, but rather the annoyance of the whole thing. I hate sounding stuffed up, sneezing and hacking. Give me a stomach flu with a fever any day at least I can ride the couch all day acting sickly. Colds are worse because you still drag yourself to work, school ect. wearing yourself out and prolonging the cold but giving it to others. If you stay at home with a cold, its just kind of sad and no work place or school would allow that kind of behavior as a good excuse for missing a day.
Well I guess all I can do is suffer through these things and hope I don't get others around me sick. But next time you see someone with just a cold, have a little sympathy since there not "sick" enough to stay home but probably are in misery and just want to crawl back into bed.
